The Impact of Self-efficacy, Work Environment and Social Support on Burnout among Sexual Harassment Counselors

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-efficacy, work environment and social support on burnout among sexual harassment counselors, and to provide basic data in terms of reducing the level of Sexual harassment counselors¡¯ burnout. The sampling was taken of Sexual harassment counselors in 165 universities and a total of 233 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The results showed burnout was negatively correlated with self-efficacy, work environment and social support, and work environment was positively correlated with self-efficacy and social support. Factors influencing burnout in sexual harassment counselors were identified as self-efficacy, work environment employment status and major of education, and these factors explained 54.6% of burnout in reported by sexual harassment counselors. Self-efficacy and work environment was negatively correlated burnout, and the impact of self-efficacy was greater than work environment. These findings indicate which factors are major factors influencing burnout among sexual harassment counselors, therefore may serve as predictors, and contribute to provide basic data for further research.
